Our Mission

Paeonia Medical Initiative is a student-led, 501(c)(3) non-governmental organization uniting 450+ students in over 20 countries to champion global health equity. By driving awareness campaigns, policy advocacy, health education, and fundraising for underserved communities, we seek to remove systemic barriers to care. Paeonia aims to prioritize both immediate relief in times of need, as well as long-term sustainable solutions. We envision a future where informed communities and equitable policies ensure that health is within reach for all people, everywhere.

Our Goals

Our Goals

Break down barriers to health access by prioritizing immediate relief, and driving long-term sustainable solutions forward at the same time.

Expand access to clear, reliable, and easy-to-understand health information.

Provide valuable opportunities for students to volunteer and explore their interests in health

Build a global community of passionate youth committed to advancing health equity

Create systemic change by advocating for fair and inclusive health policy.

Establish branches worldwide to address public health concerns in underserved communities

Half the world still can’t reach the care they need

Health is shaped heavily by circumstance: income, education, housing, and the conditions people are born into. These social and economic determinants drive deep, overlapping disparities across race, gender, and geography — that quietly decide who receives care and who is left behind. Progress toward universal health coverage has stalled since 2015, and at current rates the world will fall far short of its 2030 goal. There are countless interconnected issues to address.
